Student Life
Students at Mighty Oak Academy are given every opportunity to learn and grow every day. The school provides many field trips to foster learning, everything from the Zoo, to the Cincinnati Aquarium to local businesses. We partner with a number of local organizations to provide hands on learning experiences for our older grades as well as special area classes ranging from art to videography and foreign language. Students have the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of learning activities.
Athletics
As a small school our athletic options are focus mainly on intramural sports, with the exception of volleyball. We have a middle school girls volleyball team that plays in a fall season against similarly sized schools. As Mighty Oak continues to grow we will be offering more team sports. We currently have intramural soccer, basketball and volleyball.
Mighty Oak Academy is focused on building life-long learners. To that end, academics are the priority. A fundamental building block for lifelong learning is being able to read, write and perform math on grade level. We use the current Kentucky state standards to guide instruction. Teachers put together lessons that are of interest to our students to meet the standards and also meet the student where they are, helping them to advance through grade level material.
Curriculum
We love our parents too! Mighty Oak Academy values it’s parents and understands that when families are healthy then kids are healthy too. MOA provides connection to various resources to help families in many areas. We also have our own parent program families are encouraged to participate in to help them realize their dreams for themselves as well as their kids.
